The “Electric Train” - utilising non-ferrous conducting wire, a battery, and powerful conducting magnets, the result is a fascinating experiment that displays the basic principles of electromagnetism and engineering. The end product is a train made of a battery and magnets that propels itself through a coil of wire using electromagnetic force. And ideal demonstrator of key aspects of electromagnetic induction.

The spring is Australian made from spring grade 1.25 mm phosphor bronze and is machine wound and acid washed for best results. It double as a wave demonstration spring making this an ideal tool for demonstrating a range of key ideas guided towards STEM and physics education.
